正直でいるということ
「それでも正直でおらなあかんってマザーテレサが言ってたよ。」
いろいろ重なり、人のウソに打ちのめされそうになっていた私に夫が言ってくれたこと。
前は吉田松陰の本を渡され、今度はマザーテレサ。
サッカーばっかりやってる訳ではないらい。
以下、マザーテレサのお言葉。
正直者は馬鹿を見る、何て言われますが、あっちこっちで自分に都合の良いことばかり言っていると、絶対にどこかでつじつまが合わなくなってしまいます。
言葉を選ぶ必要はあるのだろうけれど、正直でいることの大切さを改めて感じました。
People are often unreasonable and self-centered.
Forgive them anyway.
If you are kind, people may accuse you of ulterior motives.
Be kind anyway.
If you are successful, you will win some unfaithful friends and some genuine enemies.
Succeed anyway.
If you are honest, people may cheat you.
Be honest anyway.
What you spend years creating, others could destroy overnight.

If you find serenity and happiness, some may be jealous.
Be happy anyway.
The good you do today may be forgotten tomorrow.
Do good anyway.
Give the best you have, and it will never be enough.
Give your best anyway.
